Visible progress continues at the site of the future Maskwa Medical Center, where Clark Builders crews are hard at work preparing the foundation for this important community facility. With the project now well underway, the once-quiet site has become a hub of activity and precision planning.
Since Maskwa’s June start in construction, crews have focused on major earthworks, including digging and hauling soil to prepare the parkade area for concrete foundation work. A water truck has been regularly deployed during dry conditions to control dust levels, a necessary precaution given the site’s close proximity to the existing hospital.
We sincerely thank the public for their patience and understanding as construction continues toward the anticipated completion in late 2026 to early 2027.

Shoring has been installed to stabilize the excavation area and pile locations have been carefully marked and drilled. We would like to thank Shadow Drilling of Grande Prairie for completing the drilling in of 166 piles for foundation. This essential work ensures the structural stability of the facility as it begins to take shape. Rig mats have been installed across from the site, creating a stable surface for the staging area and materials storage.
Crews continue to make every effort to minimize disruptions to public traffic while transporting materials between the sites.

This stage of the build has also seen the start of rebar tying and drilling, with steel reinforcement being put in place in preparation for the next phase of concrete work.

Crews are now forming the foundation, installing rebar, and pouring concrete, all while prepping the site for the concrete pour ahead of forming the parkade walls—critical steps in setting the groundwork for the structure to rise.

From above, the cleared footprint of the new facility and the surrounding activity speak to the care and momentum driving the project forward.

The Maskwa Medical Center will serve as a vital hub for health services and represents a significant step forward in expanding access to healthcare for the region. Construction is expected to continue throughout the fall with foundational work remaining the primary focus over the coming weeks. Stay tuned for further updates as we move one step closer to making the Maskwa Medical Center a reality.
